2014 Heritage Days Festival
May 10th & Saturday May 24th
Menard Heritage Park

The Gillett Civic Group will hold the 6th annual Heritage Days Festival. Children will enjoy free activities all day held at Menard Heritage Park on the West end of Main Street in Gillett. There are several competitions to enter this year so get your teams together & enter to win trophies, CASH & other prizes!  Come out & visit our many vendors & find that perfect item you have been searching for!

This year’s Live Entertainment features… Ben Coulter;  Kasey Earl, The Prison Band & many other local entertainers.  

We will be selling Festival T-shirts again this year with the 2014 Festival Logo all day Saturday during the Festival under the Big Tent!

We welcome class reunion groups! To reserve a tent space contact Sally Keffer 870-830-6012 or print a form from this website.

8:30 am Breakfast with Santa at the Gillett United Methodist Church. Wear your pajamas!

11:00 am Parade on Gillett’s Main Street – Theme “It’s Christmas Charlie Brown!” Contact Sally Keffer at 870-830-6012. Cash prizes for winning entries. Line up 10:30 am.

12:00 – 1:30 pm Smoked chicken luncheon fundraiser sponsored by the Gillett Civic Group. Call 870-830-5410 for to go orders!

1:00 – 5:00 pm Open Houses at Arkansas Post State Museum (featuring old-fashioned Santa, vintage crafts for children and refreshments.) and Arkansas Post National Memorial (refreshments, tours and slide show).

5:30 pm Annual Gillett City Christmas Tree Lighting at Jesswein Memorial Park where the Gillett Citizen of the Year will be presented, carols will be sung and Santa will make an appearance bringing fruit and candy to the kids.

It’s that time again! Our 5th annual R.A.V.E. Benefit Dinner & Auction has been set for Saturday, November 2nd at Buckshot Lodge.

The Glamour of Nostalgic Old Hollywood will sweep us away!   Ladies let’s stroll down the red carpet with our dapper Gentlemen for an entertaining evening to benefit the Gillett Civic Group Scholarship Fund as well as other community projects sponsored by our group. This year’s R.A.V.E. is going to be even better with live entertainment and lots of unique auction items for bid. The evening’s events are below:

The Gillett Civic Group invites everyone to enjoy the “Fireworks Extravaganza” at Menard Heritage Park on Thursday July 4, 2013!

The fireworks display will kick off at 9:00 pm sharp!  This year’s show is even bigger and better!

FREE ADMISSION!

We would like to thank Mr. Tony Berry and his crew for his hard work in our prior shows - however this year’s show will be brought to you by Liberty Pyrotechnics!  We hope to have Mr. Tony & his crew back again next year!!!

New Gillett Civic Group Scholarship Fund

The Board of Directors for the Gillett Civic Group has established a new Scholarship Fund!  A portion of the Proceeds from all Gillett Civic Group events will benefit this new endeavor.  Thus far we have voted to provide one $500 scholarship per semester for 4 years.  Criteria and application to be announced at a later date and will be posted to this site as soon as possible.  Thank You to all for your support!!!
